The word for today is:
Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
My question to you today is what do you have your eyes fixed on?
Are you looking at man? Are you looking at friends, family or self?
Listen to me for a moment! If you could have fixed the problem, it would have been fixed a long time ago!
Matthew 14:29-31 NIV
“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
Peter looked at his situation and took his eyes off of Jesus and that is when he started to sink! The first thing Jesus said was, "you of little faith," why did you doubt! Doubt, fear, anxiety and unbelief will suck the life out of you and leave you defeated!
Hebrews 11:6 NIV
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
James 1:6-8 NIV
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
Have a great day and remember to keep your eyes on Jesus!
